Marine Corps installations and ranges are key national defense assets that offer a unique combination of ocean, coastal, riverine, inland and airspace training areas. This makes them essential components of our national defense foundation, as they directly support combat readiness of Marine Corps Operating Forces. To achieve the highest levels of readiness and to provide the warfighter realistic training, the Marine Corps must provide, sustain and protect mission-capable installations and areas within the military mission footprint.
