The Future of Installation Master Planning for Military Resilience

With a focus on building lasting and resilient military installations, Congress has authorized the Secretary of Defense to develop and implement installation resilience plans, carry out military installation resilience construction projects, and encourage coordination with relevant local, State and Federal entities. The Military Services have $75 million in planning and design funds to address master planning resilience requirements and future military construction projects. This session will explore the Department’s proposed approach to incorporate resilience in master installation plans; initiate installation resilience construction projects; and identify tools and Best Practices for local and state governments in support of military resilience.
