The Sentinel Landscape Partnership – A Southwestern Perspective

The Sentinel Landscape Partnership is a coalition of federal agencies, state and local governments, and non-governmental organizations that works with private landowners to advance sustainable land management practices around military installations and ranges. In this session, DoD representatives from the Sentinel Landscape Partnership will share insights on how the program is addressing climate resilience, highlight best practices they have observed, and discuss potential future sentinel landscape designations.

Representatives from the Fort Huachuca Sentinel Landscape will share their lessons learned from several years of participation in the partnership, with a particular focus on how the DoD Readiness and Environmental Protection Integration program supports their work. Representatives from the Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape will share their experience with the designation process, including tips for communities and organizations that are considering pursuing designation in the future.
